Answers before your website build starts.
Clear scope is what makes a one-day website possible. These answers cover preparation, design, hosting, contact forms, SEO, ownership, updates and what is — or is not — included in a standard DAY1WEB project.
Before DAY1.
The build day works best when decisions that normally interrupt development have already been made.
Can a professional website really be built in one day?
Yes, when the project is a focused static marketing website and the content, page list and visual direction are agreed before the build day. DAY1WEB is a productized service rather than open-ended agency development, so the scope is intentionally controlled.
What needs to be ready before development starts?
Ideally you provide your final company text, service descriptions, logo, brand colours if available, photographs or other imagery, domain information and examples of websites you like. Missing content can delay the one-day workflow because design decisions depend on real content.
How many pages can be included?
The standard Landing package is a single long-form page. The Business package is intended for a small multi-page website, typically up to five agreed pages. Larger sites, extensive content migration or unusual functionality are quoted separately.
What kinds of businesses are a good fit?
DAY1WEB is designed for consultants, construction and trade companies, technical services, studios, freelancers, local service providers and small B2B companies that mainly need to explain services, demonstrate credibility and generate enquiries.
How the website is built.
The technical stack is deliberately simple so the finished site stays fast, portable and easy to maintain.
Is DAY1WEB a template website service?
Reusable layout patterns and development components accelerate production, but typography, spacing, page composition, imagery and visual direction are adapted to the business. The goal is a professional custom presentation without rebuilding the same technical foundation from zero for every project.
Do you use WordPress or a page builder?
Not for the standard DAY1WEB product. Sites are built with semantic HTML, CSS and lightweight JavaScript. That removes the database, plugin stack and routine CMS maintenance that many small brochure websites do not actually need.
Will the website work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Responsive behaviour is part of the standard build, including navigation, typography, grids, forms and page spacing for desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.
Can I use my existing domain name?
Yes. A finished site can be connected to an existing custom domain after deployment. If you do not yet have a domain, you can register one with the registrar of your choice and then point its DNS records to the selected hosting setup.
Simple infrastructure without a custom backend.
For many small business sites, static hosting and a specialist form service are enough.
Is Firebase Hosting free?
Firebase Hosting on the free Spark Plan can be suitable for a small static business website. DAY1WEB describes the current Spark Plan allowance as 10 GB Hosting storage and 360 MB/day of no-cost data transfer, with SSL/HTTPS support. Provider quotas can change, so current limits should always be checked before they are treated as contractual guarantees.
How does the contact form work without a server?
The standard form can submit through Web3Forms, with Formspree supported as an alternative. Both services let a static HTML website send enquiries without DAY1WEB building and maintaining its own server-side mail handler.
What happens after somebody submits the contact form?
After a successful submission, the visitor is redirected to a dedicated thank-you page confirming that the enquiry was sent. The live form-processing account determines where the submitted message is delivered.
Can the form provider be changed later?
Yes. The visible form can stay the same while its submission endpoint is switched between supported providers or another compatible service. Provider-specific hidden fields may also need to be updated.
What happens after launch.
A clean launch creates a solid foundation, but visibility and business growth still depend on content, competition and ongoing marketing.
Will a static website rank in Google?
A static site can be highly search-friendly because its content is directly available in HTML. DAY1WEB includes technical foundations such as page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, semantic headings, sitemap.xml, robots.txt and structured content where appropriate. No developer can guarantee search rankings because results also depend on competition, content quality, authority and external signals.
Do I own the website files?
After the agreed project is paid for, you receive the completed website files for that scope. Because the site uses standard front-end technologies, it can be maintained by another competent developer or moved to another compatible static host later.
Can the website be updated later?
Yes. Text, images, pricing, sections and pages can be edited later. If a business expects frequent editorial publishing by non-technical staff, a CMS may eventually be more suitable than a static site.
What is not included in the standard one-day service?
Complex ecommerce, customer accounts, dashboards, booking engines, large databases, custom web applications, extensive API development and open-ended content production are outside the standard one-day scope and should be estimated separately.
